Dumani Kula is a medical doctor (UCT) with an MBA from the University of London. He has 26 years of professional experience in healthcare, spanning both public and private sectors, local and international, as well as frontline clinical and executive management roles.
After 7 years of frontline clinical work, Dumani cut his teeth at Discovery Health, the largest health insurer in SA, where he rapidly grew to become a senior executive responsible for managing all the healthcare expenditure of the 17 medical schemes being administered.
Over the last 10 years, Dumani has been involved on the provider side of the healthcare system leading hospital operations, including an international stint with the TPG-backed Evercare Group, with assets in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya and Nigeria
