A vacancy exists for a Services Assistant, reporting to the Services Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in line with infection control protocols in the hospital including ensuring the availability of clean linen at all times
Critical Outputs
• Cleaning the hospital according to infection control guidelines.
• Sorting and counting of linen.
• Conducting quality checks on linen on a continuous basis and escalate as necessary.
• Recording and distributing linen to the wards.
• Management and control of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Communicating to internal customers when there are delays in providing cleaning and/ or laundry services.
• Performing administrative duties in line with the requirements of the services department.
Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent level of education.
• 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in private healthcare advantageous.
• Computer proficiency.
