Description

An employment opportunity is available at Herolim Private Hospital for a Human Resources Manager, reporting to the Hospital Manager. The successful candidate will be providing Human Resource support to stakeholders including employees and hospital leadership, instrumental in facilitating and implementing agreed deliverables. These will be aligned to business strategy and delivered in collaboration with line management to maintain and implement best practice HR programs, policies and systems.

Critical Outputs

Recruitment & Selection

• Custodian and coordinator of all processes relating to the recruitment, selection and placement of new employees in line with company policy and best practice.

Onboarding and Orientation

• Ensure that all new employees undergo a full and effective micro and macro-orientation and induction process following placement.

Employee Relations

• Ensure that there is cordial employee -management relations in the hospital by implementing and sustaining appropriate initiatives to achieve this end.

• Manage disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company policy, labour legislation and best practice.

• Advise management on labour relations and disciplinary matters.

• Represent the Company at the CCMA.

• Keep abreast of changing labour legislation to ensure continuous compliance

Performance Management

• Coordinate the performance management processes and monitor compliance to performance management policies and procedures.

• Drive a culture of accountability and high performance across the hospital.

HR Reporting and HR Metrics

• Collate, interpret and analyse HR data and HR key performance indicators to identify trends that require management intervention.

• Compile and submit a monthly HR feedback report on key HR themes and progress thereon.

HR Administration

• Act as the custodian of all HR records, data, information and administration processes.

• Participate in internal and external audits by providing relevant payroll information during the audit process, escalate issues to line manager, review outputs of audits and implement corrective action

• Ensure an efficient and effective system of capturing, storage and retrieval of HR records in line with best practice and in compliance with the POPI Act.

Management of HR Service Level Agreements

• Ensure that all HR Service Level Agreements with various providers of HR services are executed in line with the intended objectives and are overall successful.

Employment Equity

• Act as the appointed EE Manager for the hospital and ensure the full discharge of all EE obligations of the hospital as per the requirements of the Employment Equity Act.

Skills Development

• Act as the appointed Skills Development Officer (SDF) for the hospital and discharge all the SDF duties as per the requirements of the Skills Development Act.

Reward and Recognition

• Ensure alignment of remuneration practices and analyse remuneration trends to ensure attraction and retention of staff.

• Implement non-financial Reward and Recognition programmes to ensure employee motivation and engagement.

Payroll & Time and Attendance

• Management of the administrative processes regarding leave, new engagements, terminations, salary increases etc.

• Administration of permanent and temporary payroll, yearend IRP5 and statutory processing PAYE, UIF etc.

• Act as the custodian of the Time and Attendance to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

• Identify gaps and implement corrective action where necessary, alternatively escalate to relevant manager.

• Effective processing of HR information.

• Review time and attendance process to ensure line managers are capturing data correctly.

Organisational Design

• Continuously review the organisation’s structure.

Corporate Social Responsibility

• Partner with the other stakeholders in the hospital in the delivery of the hospital’s corporate social responsibility programmes.

HR Leadership & HR Projects

• Provide HR leadership in the hospital, including ensuring HR visibility throughout the hospital and also providing guidance and support to both Line Managers and employees.

• Understand the factors impacting the business and put forward appropriate HR interventions to assist the business achieve its objectives.

• Effectively plan and execute various ad-hoc or planed HR projects.

 

 

Requirements

• A three-year Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management or a relevant HR qualification at NQF level 7.

• Minimum 3 -5 years Human Resources Generalist experience covering the full spectrum of HR work.

• Experience within a unionized environment will be an added advantage.

• Experience in private healthcare will be an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of Remuneration, Talent Management, Transformation, Recruitment and Selection, Learning and Development, IR and Performance Management.

• Computer proficiency.
