We are looking for a visionary, empathetic and resilient leader to step into the role of Hospital Manager and guide our dedicated team towards new horizons of patient care and the next chapter of growth.

Reporting to the KwaDukuza Private Hospital Board and leading the Hospital MANCO Team, the incumbent will be charged with being the heartbeat of our facility through balancing strategic business leadership with deep clinical and operational empathy that ensure quality clinical outcomes and business growth. This includes inspiring multi-disciplinary teams towards a shared vision and mission, delivering quality clinical outcomes, elevating patient experience, and forging strong ties with key stakeholders.

• Inspire & Lead: Cultivate a culture of high performance, deep accountability, and empathy across all clinical and support departments.

• Drive Excellence: Oversee daily hospital operations to guarantee uncompromising quality nursing care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

• Champion Growth: Collaborate with visiting and resident healthcare practitioners to expand community brand loyalty.

• Partner with key Clinicians: Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier clinical specialists who view our hospital as their practice home.

• Financial Stewardship: Manage financial performance, cost efficiencies, and budget targets without compromising quality care standards.

• Staff Leadership: Lead and align staff across all levels towards a common purpose and shared vision, and foster a positive and collaborative work culture.

Requirements

• A relevant NQF level 7 qualification is essential.

• Relevant post-graduate qualifications will be advantageous.

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of senior leadership experience in a private healthcare environment.

• Good knowledge of healthcare regulations, medical billing/finance, quality assurance, hospital operations and corporate governance.

• A heart-led leader that understands that healthcare is about people first, both the patients we serve and the staff who care for them.

• An effective communicator that listens actively, speaks with clarity, and brings people together through transparent and empathetic communication.

• A resilient & strategic leader that thrives in dynamic, high-impact environments where problem-solving meets deep empathy.

• Computer proficiency.
