Description
An opportunity exists for 2x Kitchen Supervisors, reporting to the Food Service Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, resources, and compliance to guarantee smooth, high-quality food service.
Critical Outputs
• Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
• Oversee menu planning and ensure meals meet hospital dietary guidelines and patient requirements.
• Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost-effective operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of meals to hospital wards and staff facilities.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance management for catering staff.
• Collaborate with dietitians, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs.
Requirements
• Professional Culinary Qualification (Diploma/Degree) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within catering, ideally in healthcare or large-scale food service.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and hospital dietary standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical ability to manage kitchen operations in a busy environment.
